Curiosity Collage #31
We seldom have the time to look closely at objects that are both decorative and useful that have been thoughtfully designed and made by skilled craftsman over the many years - drawer handles, coins, military buttons, and tiny, delicate gears inside clocks…I CELEBRATE THESE!
Please scroll through the photos (there is a small arrow on the edge of the photos) to find the tag that describes every item in the collage. On the brown tag I have divided objects into Artifacts, Antiques - over 100 yrs old, and Vintage - over 40 years old. I also have $ next to things that are valuable enough to sell separately, but I love using items that are really beautiful and don’t care if I use things that are too valuable.
This collage has an aqua color frame. There are wonderful 1800’s drawer hardware and the fanciest one is the thick solid brass bail pull that doesn’t have the back piece. The cast iron Victorian door hinge is in perfect condition. There is a paper money bill that my husband got in Thailand .
The frame size is 14 × 17”
