Curiosity Collage #32
We seldom have the time to look closely at objects that are both decorative and useful that have been thoughtfully designed and made by skilled craftsman over the many years - drawer handles, coins, military buttons, and tiny, delicate gears inside clocks…I CELEBRATE THESE!
Please scroll through the photos (there is a small arrow on the edge of the photos) to find the tag that describes every item in the collage. On the brown tag I have divided objects into Artifacts, Antiques - over 100 yrs old, and Vintage - over 40 years old. I also have $ next to things that are valuable enough to sell separately, but I love using items that are really beautiful and don’t care if I use things that are too valuable.
This is a little larger than some collages. It has a very nice wood frame with black trim. There are 3 very beautiful Victorian drawer pulls and a brass decoration from a large clock. My husband recently brought back a new 10 pound note from Egypt (not as valuable as American money) but it has a pretty transparent part with a golden building on it.
This frame is 15.5 × 18.5”
