Curiosity Collage #38
We seldom have the time to look closely at objects that are both decorative and useful that have been thoughtfully designed and made by skilled craftsman over the many years - drawer handles, coins, military buttons, and tiny, delicate gears inside clocks…I CELEBRATE THESE!
Please scroll through the photos (there is a small arrow on the edge of the photos) to find the tag that describes every item in the collage. On the brown tag I have divided objects into Artifacts, Antiques - over 100 yrs old, and Vintage - over 40 years old. I also have $ next to things that are valuable enough to sell separately, but I love using items that are really beautiful and don’t care if I use things that are too valuable.
This frame is black and gold and the collage is very interesting and loaded with different kinds of things. There are 4 brass Victorian drawer or cupboard door handles, a pretty key hole. There are several old clock parts and military buttons. One of the buttons is a British Royal Artillery button. There is a pretty 10 Pound note from Egypt that has the new transparent place with a gold building.
It is 14 1/2” x 17 3/4”
